Who is behind A Honesty Roofing?
Vance Boyer put the word honesty on the truck in 2009 because that was the thing people around League City kept saying they could not find in a roofer. Someone who would tell them what the roof actually needed. Someone who would show up when he said he would. Someone who would not sell them a whole new roof to fix one leaking pipe boot. That is the business he built, and it is still the business, run out of a shop on Boden Street on the north side of League City.
The work is roofing first: roof replacement, roof repair, emergency leak repair, storm and hail damage, and commercial roofing for shops and small buildings. Cedar fences are the other half. The same crew that decks and shingles a roof builds Western red cedar privacy fences with treated frames, rot boards and gates that stay square, and a good share of our Google reviews are from fence customers who found us that way.
What you will notice is that there is no sales office in between you and the person doing the work. Vance climbs the roof, checks the attic side if a leak is involved, and tells you in plain words what he found. If it is a repair, he says so. If the roof is done, he says that too, and he writes the price down before the job goes on the calendar. How we quote a roof
Vance measures the roof on site, not from a satellite photo. He checks the deck from the attic where he can, counts penetrations and valleys, looks at the flashing and the ventilation, and comes back with one written number that includes tear off, disposal, materials, labor and cleanup. If the roof only needs a repair, the quote is for the repair. If it needs replacing, he shows you the shingle options and explains the tradeoffs. Nothing changes once the truck shows up.
