Does storm damage mean a repair or a new roof?
It depends on how much of the roof took the hit and how old it is. A dozen creased shingles along one rake on a ten year old roof is a repair: pull the creased ones, weave in new, reseal the courses around them. Hail bruises across every slope on a roof already losing granules is a replacement, because bruised mats crack and leak over the next few years.
